FOIL WRAPPER DESIGNS for MGM CHOCOLATES ..
Four graphic marks for METRO GOLDWYN MAYER transferred to foil wrappers for boxed chocolate sets ... created from the TRADEMARK styleguide we designed at Axiom Design ... and very capably produced by Paramount chocolates of Hauppauge, New York ... chocolates were boxed in clear hard plastic case with a silver ribbon .... tasty ....
SEVERAL icons created for the DOT styleguide of 'DAWN of the PLANET of THE APES' 20th Century Fox - created using handdrawn type and assets provided by the studio ...
TWO QUEENS - artwork for back of Queens card for a company Halloween promotional ... the two queens are ELIZABETH TAYLOR, the ultimate Hollywood queen ... and ELIZABETH REGINA - the ultimate Royal queen .... the quote on Taylor's side is actually one of her actual quotes ... with Elizabeth of England I just figured she needed some lipstick.
THREE HALLOWE'EN ILLUS - some of my contribution for Design of Today's Hallowe'en Promo - the KING suit represented by King Kong .... the JACK suit represented by zombie JACK and Jill .. and the QUEEN suit represented by F. Mercury of QUEEN .... should be a great collection of art when all is done ....
TOM AND JERRY - acrylic on cut masonite art for Warners Brothers show featuring cartoon classics 'Tom and Jerry' - mine features Jerry the mouse in a recessed cat mouth enacting the ongoing mutual torture - banner reads: 'Mouse got your tongue?' I believe the show is in Japan ....
TWO pieces hung at Design of Today - the HELLO piece is found canvas - in the foyer is welcomes all - the little doll head peeking out from the bottom was an Xmas gift to Danell - it is a 1930's 'swinging' doll (a precursor to the bobble heads of today) ..... the piece on the right is HUMILITY from an ongoing series of the VIRTUES ....
STRANGE BUT TRUE ... several years ago, my rep Lisa asked me to donate a 'painted boot' art piece for some charity campaign through Nordstrom's northwest region(?) .... we all got the same boot and were asked to create an art piece from it ... I covered mine with paper mache - painted it with Spanish text and basically created a Mexican tree of love - with a nod to 'dia de los muertos' .... note the tiny Mexican priest and the loving couple on the branch beneath - the heel of the boot and the tops of the branches are covered with tiny blood red roses - I believe the 'tree' looked more ethereal in blue rather than drab brown ... Lisa told me mine was bought at the auction - and the new owner was quite happy ... all's well that ends well ...
